At last the Balay-balay online finally created. Yet still under construction. This is a school where my son is playing to learn. It is for 3-5 year old children and wards of UPV employees and undergraduate students.This is a little introduction about Balay-balay.

The Balay-Balay Child Minding Center is a projectinspired by Executive Order No. 340, which mandates governmentinstitutions to respond to the need of working parents by providing aplace for socialization for their 3 ?5 year old children while they areat work.

After 9 years of operation providingearly childhood education to more than three hundred children, the UPVGender and Development Program (GDP) has observed the increasing demandof parents (UP employees) to give their children an early formativeeducation in a secure environment.

TheBALAY-BALAY is a center where children/ wards of UPV personnel/ facultyare left for the day under the care of a trained pre-school teacherwith diploma in Early Childhood Education. The Center is locatedinside the UPV Iloilo city campus and is on its tenth year ofoperation.

Since the Center is one supportservice offered by the University, it aims to cater to children andwards of UPV personnel based in Iloilo and even employees based inMiag-ao. It also accepts children of UPV students in theundergraduate level and some extra slots are given to children of UPValumni on a first-come-first served basis
